Peskov Makes Statements Regarding Nagorno-Karabakh

The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, has not commented on Turkish President Erdogan's statement regarding their phone conversation with Russian President Putin, in which they discussed the possibility of expanding efforts to maintain the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh with the participation of other countries in the region, according to regionmonitor.

“Apart from what we said last evening and beyond that, I cannot tell you anything,” Peskov told reporters on Wednesday.

The Kremlin spokesman only confirmed that the implementation of agreements reached during the phone conversation between President Putin, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan was discussed. The focus was also on the formats for joint work within the framework of the ‘Joint Monitoring Center’.

The Putin-Erdogan phone call took place on November 24 at the initiative of the Turkish side. The parties discussed ongoing work towards the establishment of a monitoring center for the ceasefire and to oversee all military operations.
