Information Blockade in Artsakh: Internet and Phone Connectivity Severely Deteriorated Post-War

The newspaper "Hraparak" reports: "Since the end of the war, internet and phone connectivity in Artsakh has drastically worsened. It has become nearly impossible to call Armenia, with communication only possible through poor internet connectivity.

The relevant authorities promised in recent days to rectify the issue; nevertheless, there is a strong conviction in Artsakh that the problem lies not only in the infrastructure damaged during the war but also in a deliberate information blockade imposed on the people of Artsakh to prevent them from following political developments in Armenia.

David Galstyan, a member of the 'Justice' faction in Artsakh, expressed his astonishment during an interview with our journalist yesterday, questioning how communication was uninterrupted during the most intense days of the war, yet now it is not. He asked, "How is it that the communication works normally in the government building, but outside it is disrupted? It is assumed that this information blockade is deliberate so that the people of Artsakh are unaware of what is happening in Armenia. Many in Artsakh believe that there seems to be an artificial problem. That is why people think that something is not right."
