VIDEO: Weapons and Ammunition from Artsakh Handed Over to Police Stations
The police continue their round-the-clock efforts to detect illegally held weapons and ammunition. In this context, explanatory work is also being carried out.
As a result, a 46-year-old resident of Gyumri voluntarily handed over a factory-numbered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle, a magazine loaded with 30 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber, as well as 150 cartridges of the same caliber at the Kumayri police division. According to the citizen, the weapons were received days ago in Artsakh.
A 34-year-old resident of the village of Agavnatsun in the Armavir region also voluntarily surrendered a factory-numbered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle, magazines, and 120 cartridges of 7.62 mm caliber on November 21 at the Vahravar police division, claiming he brought the weapons from Artsakh.
Additionally, a 29-year-old young man voluntarily handed over a factory-numbered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle and magazines loaded with 120 cartridges of 5.45 mm caliber, along with a magazine bag, at the Sisian police division, also stating that they were brought from Artsakh.
A 52-year-old man voluntarily handed over an "F-1" type grenade with a fuse at the Artashat police division, claiming that he brought the grenade from Artsakh.
Expert examinations have been appointed. We again urge individuals to voluntarily hand over weapons and ammunition brought from Artsakh to the police to avoid criminal liability. Explanatory work is ongoing.
