Lavrov Discusses Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict Resolution with Jordanian Foreign Minister
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi on November 23 to discuss the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Jordan emphasized Moscow's crucial role in establishing conditions for a ceasefire in the region, according to a statement released by the Russian Foreign Ministry.
“Lavrov informed his counterpart about Russia's mediation efforts aimed at achieving a complete ceasefire and the cessation of all kinds of military actions in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone since November 10,” the statement said. The Jordanian Foreign Minister welcomed Russia's decisive role in establishing ceasefire conditions and moving towards a long-term resolution.
The Russian Foreign Ministry noted that the discussion included an exchange of views on key aspects of the regional agenda.
