We Haven't Retreated Even a Meter in the Direction of Nakhichevan: Artak Davtyan's Response to Movses Hakobyan
Former Chief of General Staff and ex-chairman of the Military Industry Committee, Artak Davtyan, revealed during an interview on "168 hours" that the war was predictable for them. He stated, "Azerbaijan, especially in recent years, has been purposefully preparing for the resumption of military operations, and naturally, our Armed Forces were also preparing for combat actions."
Responding to the statement made by the former head of the Ministry of Defense's military oversight service, Movses Hakobyan, about the significant territorial concessions made by the Armenian side toward Nakhichevan in April-May 2018, Davtyan said, "One can’t just say that. In that case, I'd also ask: Why didn't he make a decision to move forward regarding that 6 kilometers? I don't know where he gets those numbers he is citing. During my tenure, we haven't retreated a single meter from any post or position in the direction of Nakhichevan."
