Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan Visits Martuni
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, visited the city of Martuni today and held a working consultation on-site.
The country’s leader, accompanied by regional officials and the Minister of Urban Development, first toured the city center, familiarizing himself with the war damages and issuing relevant instructions for the urgent commencement of restoration and repair works.
During the consultation with the leaders of the district's communities and other officials, the president emphasized the importance of restoring normal life by addressing all infrastructural issues as a priority.
According to the president, in order to overcome the difficult socio-economic situation, the government will subsidize the utility expenses of the population, including electricity, natural gas, as well as payments for fixed, mobile, and internet services, with certain restrictions over the next year as support. Essential equipment such as household appliances and furniture will also be provided.
Regarding agricultural activities, the president noted that for the autumn planting season, the Ministry of Agriculture will provide free diesel fuel, grain seeds, and fertilizers under a state program this year.
“After a heavy ordeal, we must straighten our backs. Artsakh will continue to maintain its independent status with the active support of the entire Armenian people and the Russian Federation. To build our bright and guaranteed future, we must look forward with a united vision,” concluded Araik Harutyunyan.
