Who Are the Unknown Uniformed Individuals? Police Are Required to Wear Uniforms – Gohar Meloyan

Constitutional expert Gohar Meloyan has addressed the police, asking for clarification on who the unknown uniformed individuals are. Police are required by law to wear designated uniforms.

According to the laws on the police, police forces, and police service, officers are obligated to wear police uniforms. For example, Article 14 of the law on police forces stipulates that during the maintenance of public order, members of police forces must wear the prescribed uniform, which visibly displays insignia that allows for the personal identification of the police officers.

Meloyan has requested Ombudsman Arman Tatoyan to be consistent in following up on this matter, and if possible, to inform the public about who these individuals in unknown uniforms are, particularly those who limit people's freedoms through the use of violence.
