Netherlands Demands Ban on 'Gray Wolves' Movement Across EU
Following France and Germany, both ruling and opposition parties in the Netherlands are calling for a ban on the activities of the ideological group known as the 'Gray Wolves' throughout the European Union and are demanding sanctions against the organization.
According to Armenpress, citing the GazeteDuvar news site, the prepared motion argues that the 'Gray Wolves' movement has "led to groups within the population turning against each other." The joint proposal from ruling and opposition parties, which has been brought to the parliament agenda and received initial approval, will be put to vote again after discussions by the government.
The motion, co-presented by three parties of the coalition government and the opposition Socialist Party (SP), was accepted by the House of Representatives, consisting of 150 members, with 147 votes in favor.
