Italian City of Pisa Recognizes Independence of Artsakh Republic

The Italian city of Pisa has recognized the independence of the Artsakh Republic, as reported on the official Facebook page of the Armenian Embassy in Italy.

The Pisa city council has strongly condemned the aggression against Nagorno-Karabakh, expressed solidarity with the Armenian people, and voiced concerns regarding expansionist ambitions.

Recall that on November 9, leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan reached an agreement on the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh. A statement was signed that transfers seven districts of Artsakh, Shusha, and Hadrut to Azerbaijan, with the exception of one village, as well as the villages of Askeran and Martuni districts, along with Talish and Mataghis villages of the Mardakert region.

According to this statement, a contingent of the Russian Federation's peacekeeping forces is being stationed along the contact line in Nagorno-Karabakh and along the Lachin corridor, which includes 1,960 armed personnel, 90 armored vehicles, and 380 units of automotive and special equipment. Some of the Russian peacekeepers have already been deployed in Artsakh.
