In the 45-Day War, I Saw What I Could Not Imagine: Senor Hasratyan
In the 45-day war, I saw what I could not imagine. This was stated by Senor Hasratyan, the former spokesperson for the Artsakh Defense Army, on his Facebook page.
He specifically noted: “And it is not because I was powerless to comprehend the scale of it, but precisely because, realizing it, I could not imagine… I could not imagine the death of Sashko, forged in the experience of two wars, without a shot fired; I could not imagine that one could become a hero by giving up territories; I could not imagine that someone who wanted to do something for the Homeland could be prevented from doing what they could do… And, finally, I could not imagine having a government that, lacking the basic ability to manage a wartime situation, would continue to hold the reins of a country leading towards disaster… And after all this, years later, our national historiography will record, ‘…we were defeated because there was an unfavorable geopolitical situation.’”
