Covid Safety Rules Revised by the Health Inspectorate
The Health and Labor Inspectorate of the Republic of Armenia has announced updates to the safety rules aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus. Specifically, changes have been made to the regulations for shopping centers.
According to the new decision, the rule of serving only elderly people between 10 AM and 12 PM is no longer in effect. From now on, temperature checks for customers at the entrance of shopping centers will be mandatory. Visitors exhibiting typical coronavirus symptoms such as fever, cough, cold, or difficulty breathing will not be served.
There has also been a modification in the requirements regarding disinfectants. Instead of using disinfectants based on 60-80% alcohol, surfaces in shopping centers must now be disinfected with materials containing 70-90% alcohol. Meanwhile, hand sanitizers must contain at least 70% alcohol.
The responsibility for preventing the spread of the coronavirus in the workplace must now be assigned by an order of the director. In case an employee contracts coronavirus, this responsible person must assist in identifying the contacts who were in close contact with the infected individual.
The Health and Labor Inspectorate (HLI) informs that by order No. 30-N from the Minister of Health, the sanitary rules established to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Armenia have been revised as per Ministerial order No. 17. The document can be accessed at this link.
