The Ministry of Defense and the Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense Committee have been exchanging statements and responses for a week. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the "Henaket" analytical center, on his Facebook page.

“I won’t even mention the insults, the disclosure of military secrets, and other details. Nikola, are you enjoying this performance against the armed forces while clinging to your chair? Does no one wonder how this can happen? Alright, when will this nonsense end, when will you finally start dealing with what you are supposed to address hours ago?” Abrahamyan wrote.

It is worth noting that today, the Ministry of Defense has once again addressed the statements made by Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the National Assembly from the “My Step” faction and the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security.

“We have had several occasions, unfortunately, to respond to Mr. Kocharyan’s public statements, which contain expressions utterly inappropriate and unacceptable for someone holding a high public office such as ‘there's hardly an army, but there are armed people,’ ‘commander of the air forces who doesn’t fly,’ or ‘fisherman's uniform.’ However, instead of apologizing for the extremely offensive statements made against the army, soldiers, and many civilian employees of the Ministry of Defense, he continues his increasingly targeted campaign,” stated the Ministry of Defense in today's release.

The Ministry of Defense has mentioned that it is considering requesting the Speaker of the National Assembly to discuss the appropriateness of Andranik Kocharyan’s position as the Chairman of the Permanent Committee on Defense and Security, as well as the possibility of addressing the Assembly's Ethics Committee regarding evidently offensive public statements.
