Paris Mayor to Address French Foreign Ministry on Recognizing Artsakh's Independence

The Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, has announced plans to approach the French Foreign Ministry with a proposal for France to recognize Artsakh. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

“The Paris Council has voted in favor of a series of measures to provide assistance to the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, who have suffered from weeks of conflict. An additional €50,000 will be allocated through the French Armenian Fund (Fonds Armenien de France),” Hidalgo wrote on Twitter.

During her speech at the Paris Council meeting, Hidalgo stated that she intends to propose to the French Foreign Minister to “recognize the Republic of Artsakh” and establish cooperation with the country.
