Lukashenko Appoints New Ambassador of Belarus to Armenia

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has appointed a new ambassador of Belarus to Armenia. According to Armenpress, citing the Belta news agency, the former Prosecutor General of Belarus, Alexander Konyuk, has been appointed as the ambassador to Armenia.

Lukashenko has also appointed ambassadors to China, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, and Kenya.

During a meeting with the newly appointed ambassadors, Lukashenko emphasized the close relations Belarus has with Azerbaijan and its excellent relations with Armenia. He stated, “Maintain these relationships and ensure that no one doubts us. These are republics that must live in peace in the future. We have good relations with Yerevan and Baku and we will continue to have them. However, it turns out that, unfortunately, we have to express condolences. People have lost their lives. Thank God, at least the hot war has ended,” said Lukashenko.

In Azerbaijan, Lukashenko has appointed Andrei Ravkov, the former Minister of Defense of Belarus and State Secretary of the Security Council, as the ambassador.
