Funds from the Armenia All-Armenian Foundation Must Urgently be Directed to Artsakh: Tigran Abrahamyan

Starting restoration work in Artsakh and ensuring the return of people will yield no results with mere appeals and random steps. This was stated by Tigran Abrahamyan, the head of the ‘Henaket’ analytical center and former advisor to the President of Artsakh on security issues.

He specifically noted, “The funds from the Armenia All-Armenian Foundation must urgently be directed to Artsakh to resolve the numerous existing issues and create breathing space. The authorities of Armenia and Artsakh must urgently inventory the property losses we have encountered in the current situation and take corresponding actions.”

“In particular, restoration, reconstruction, and construction work on infrastructure, buildings, and houses must be carried out at a rapid pace. For this, the construction potential of the Republic of Armenia should already be in Artsakh, working swiftly in all areas that have suffered from enemy shelling. The return of people should not have an inert nature; it should be highly organized and calculated, so that those returning have at least minimal living conditions and opportunities to organize their livelihoods.”

“I am primarily referring to those whose homes have been damaged by Azerbaijani strikes or who, as of December 1, find themselves under Azerbaijani control. The number of these people reaches tens of thousands. We do not have the right to allow another disappointment. We must mobilize all the possibilities of our people to ensure that Artsakh and the residents of Artsakh can return to a full life. Much depends on these steps, and there are still heavy challenges ahead.”
