Facebook user Dawaasuren Nymsuren attempts to fraudulently obtain personal data, we urge vigilance: NSS
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia reports that certain users located abroad are disseminating announcements in the Armenian domain of social networks, presenting themselves as representatives of international financial institutions, under the pretense of providing assistance in fulfilling credit obligations and resolving everyday financial issues, attempting to extract personal data from Armenian users.
Specifically, a user on the Facebook page of Dawaasuren Nymsuren is spreading announcements in various groups on that social network and in comments on posts in Armenian, claiming to be an employee of a financial institution with 25 years of experience, offering support regarding the fulfillment of obligations to banks, the implementation of construction projects, and overcoming financial difficulties.
In reality, under the guise of offering advantageous loan conditions, there is an attempt to obtain complete personal information. Considering that the personal data fraudulently acquired from Armenian citizens can be used to conduct activities against the individual, society, and state security in the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh, the population is urged not to respond to such suspicious announcements online, to refrain from sharing personal data with unknown individuals during interactions on social networks, and to remain vigilant and attentive.
