EU to Provide Additional 3 Million Euros in Aid to War-affected Residents of Artsakh
The European Union will provide an additional €3 million in aid to citizens affected by the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced in a statement released by the European Commission.
It is noted that the EU had previously allocated €900,000 since the beginning of military operations in October.
“The EU continues to support the civilian population affected by the conflict. We are providing additional humanitarian assistance. I welcome the cessation of hostilities, which should prevent further human suffering. However, I am deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation of vulnerable people who have been displaced and will have to cope with challenging winter conditions alongside the repercussions of the coronavirus pandemic,” stated EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarčič.
