“The 'Death' gorge is a corridor where all the Azerbaijani and Turkish special forces were stationed. In this gorge, a group of 4-5 people could destroy 50 individuals using grenade launchers. The chosen tactic of the acting Minister of Defense (Jalal Harutyunyan - ed.) was successful because, as a result, the other segments of the Azerbaijani front were exposed. This led to Martuni entering into a counteroffensive in the autonomous region of Artsakh. In other words, the scheme was working. But why wasn’t it brought to completion? That is the main question,” he added.
