Support from One Armenian Army Corps Would Definitely Prevent the Capture of Shushi: Semyon Pegov
The support of an additional, complete corps from the Armenian Armed Forces would solve many issues and would definitely prevent the capture of Shushi. This was stated by military correspondent Semyon Pegov of the Wargonzo project during a conversation with Semyon Baghdasarov on "Solovyov LIVE - SMERSH."
“The Armenian army participated in the war in Artsakh exclusively in a mediated manner. There were military specialists providing advice, and the cooperation between the Defense Army of Artsakh and the Armenian army was very close, but I have not seen, for example, any corps of the Armenian army move forward to secure a certain section of the front. I have seen volunteer fighters; they were local residents who took up arms and simply defended their homes, and I have seen the Defense Army of Artsakh. It is absolutely clear that if there had been support from one more combat-ready corps, it would have been able to close many gaps,” he emphasized.
