Arthur Vanetsyan Invited to NSS Investigative Department and Arrested

The leader of the 'Homeland' party, Arthur Vanetsyan, has been arrested on charges of power usurpation and preparing to assassinate Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, according to Vanetsyan's lawyer, Lusine Sahakyan.

According to the defense, illegal searches were conducted in Vanetsyan's parents' apartment, but they were unable to search his apartment as law enforcement agencies could not even determine the address and had received permission for a search at a completely different location. Following this, they also attempted to search the office of the 'Homeland' Foundation, for which they did not have authorization.

Today, Arthur Vanetsyan was summoned to the NSS Investigative Department and arrested. Vanetsyan's lawyers have described the situation as political persecution.
