Russian Federation's Position on the Karabakh Issue Has Not Changed in the Last Four and a Half Years, Prime Minister
It should be clearly and confidently stated that the Russian Federation's position on the Karabakh issue has not changed in the last four and a half years, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during an interview with Public Television commentator Petros Ghazaryan.
“In today's realities, there are perhaps also facts that correspond to those ideas, in particular, the presence of Russian peacekeepers. We are not talking about the relations between the authorities of Armenia and Russia; we are talking about the stance of the Russian Federation regarding the Nagorno-Karabakh issue,” the Prime Minister noted.
The Prime Minister stated that there are, have been, and will be normal working relations between the authorities of Armenia and Russia. In response to claims that there are bad relations with the Russian Federation, which have hindered a quicker intervention from the Russian side, Pashinyan emphasized that the Russian Federation has not changed its position on the issue; otherwise, it would have been different from the Russian stance prior to May 2018. However, over the last four and a half years, it has remained the same.
