Putin Expresses Hope That the Term 'Conflict' Will No Longer Be Used to Describe the Situation in Artsakh
The President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, has signed a decree to establish an inter-agency center for humanitarian response in Nagorno-Karabakh. As reported by Armenpress, this information was announced by the Kremlin's press service.
The humanitarian response center will involve representatives from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Federal Security Service, while organizational issues will be handled by the Ministry of Defense.
The Kremlin also announced that President Vladimir Putin expressed hope that the term 'conflict' would no longer be used to describe the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
During a discussion on humanitarian issues in Nagorno-Karabakh, Putin stated, "I hope we no longer use the phrase 'Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.' I hope we will soon move on to discussing other issues. One of them, of course, is very urgent," referring to humanitarian issues.
Putin declared that additional assistance to the civilian population of Nagorno-Karabakh will be necessary. He added that the fighting and clashes in Nagorno-Karabakh have completely ceased.
