Humanitarian Issues in Nagorno-Karabakh are Growing Daily, Says Sergey Shoigu
Humanitarian issues in Nagorno-Karabakh are increasing day by day. This was stated by the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergey Shoigu, during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the humanitarian problems in the region.
“Issues are emerging regarding the relocation and return of refugees, as well as other humanitarian concerns. Military transport aviation has deployed more than 1,100 Russian peacekeepers to Nagorno-Karabakh over the past three days,” noted Shoigu.
“In three days, 73 aircraft have flown in, transporting 1,103 servicemen and 168 units of equipment,” Shoigu added. He also mentioned that the transfer of equipment and logistical resources by the Russian Aerospace Forces' military transport aircraft continues with “25 flights per day.”
