ANNA News's Latest Report from Artsakh Resonates in the International Community

I didn’t write this myself, as I have already spoken extensively on the subject and have caused pain to everyone involved. After watching ANNA News’s report, I’ve come to exactly the same conclusions. And if no one else wrote about it, I wouldn’t be repeating myself; everything is clear. ANNA News released a truly devastating report (for the military and political leadership of Armenia and Artsakh). Theoretically, there should be a battlefield tribunal here, rather than mutual cover-ups and accusations circulating from podiums and on Facebook. This is reported by Telegram channels.

I watched ANNA News’s report about the recent battle in Shusha.

  1. What was previously only a hypothesis has become a fact: there was no Armenian army in Artsakh at all. Throughout this entire period, the defense was indeed carried out by armed groups, conscripts (many of them remained in their positions even after the collapse of the southern front), and volunteers who had arrived on the scene. Let me remind you that the first crucial component of defense in Artsakh was the capability for rapid mobilization and troop deployment from Armenia, while the irregular fighters and conscripts held back the attack.
  2. On November 8th (that is, November eight, one day before the ceasefire, when Russian peacekeepers were already preparing to arrive in Armenia), Armenians began to excavate around Stepanakert.
  3. Let me remind you that the second most important component of defense was reliance on certain mountain defense lines and impregnable fortifications that Armenians seemed to have built over the last 30 years.
  4. At some point, the correspondent simply states the unbelievable, that there is a small detachment of police among the hills between the Azerbaijani army and Stepanakert. And this is the only thing currently preventing the enemy from entering the city.

In other words, until now, everything truly seemed as if the political and military leadership of Armenia had simply abandoned Artsakh. And the Russian Federation, in its bigotry, decided to place 2,000 Russian soldiers completely surrounded by a 50,000-strong Azerbaijani-Turkish force, in an attempt to save what remains of Artsakh.
