Russia and Turkey to Discuss Strategic and Technical Details of Agreement on Nagorno-Karabakh
Representatives from Russia and Turkey will meet on November 13 to discuss the strategic and technical details of the agreement regarding Nagorno-Karabakh. This was announced on Thursday by Turkey's Minister of National Defense Hulusi Akar, as reported by TASS.
“An extended delegation will arrive from Russia tomorrow. We will discuss strategic and technical issues regarding who will be stationed where and who will be involved in what (in the region),” he stated. Additionally, Akar emphasized that “Turkey is at the center of the negotiations.”
“We are at the negotiation table and also 'on the ground.' There is no talk of any 'fait accompli,'” he added.
The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that after video talks between Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergey Shoigu, and Turkish Defense Chief Hulusi Akar, a memorandum was signed to establish a joint Russian-Turkish monitoring center for the ceasefire regime in Nagorno-Karabakh. This center will be located on Azerbaijani territory.
