Large Quantity of Arms and Ammunition Discovered by Police in Masis, Vagharshapat, and Sevan
Officers from various divisions of the police continue to implement various measures aimed at preventing and revealing cases of illegal arms and ammunition being brought from Artsakh.
As a result, on November 11, the police of Vagharshapat detained two men living in Yerevan based on operational information. In their vehicle, a factory-numbered "Kalashnikov" assault rifle, magazines, a knife, a jacket, and a helmet were discovered, all of which had been brought from Artsakh.
On the same day, the police officers from the Sevan division and the road police serving the Gegharkunik region found factory-numbered "Kalashnikov" assault rifles, 7 magazines, rounds, and a bulletproof vest in possession of two residents from Ijevan city and the village of Sevqar in Tavush region, also brought from Artsakh.
Additionally, officers from the Masis division discovered ammunition brought from Artsakh when checking the vehicle of a 34-year-old man living in Yerevan, uncovering grenades with detonators. The seized arms and ammunition have been confiscated. Various measures are being carried out daily in this direction.
