"We Are Forming a Homeland Salvation Committee": Ishkhan Saghatelyan Proposed an Emergency Session of the National Assembly
During a rally taking place at Freedom Square, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the ARF Supreme Body, expressed the opinion that in order to save Artsakh, a national liberation struggle must begin, and that a Homeland Salvation Committee is currently being formed.
According to him, the war was brought about by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan with his inconsistent policies. "He has weakened our relations with strategic allies and isolated us from the world. Throughout the war, he has been engaged in inaction and treason," Saghatelyan stated and proposed to quickly convene an emergency session of the National Assembly to remove Nikol Pashinyan.
Earlier, prior to the planned rally involving 17 parties, police apprehended Iranian analyst Vardan Voskanyan, Republican Party MPs Vahram Baghdasaryan, Karine Achemyan, her husband Ara Deghtrikyan, and several other individuals from Freedom Square. Prosperous Armenia leader Gagik Tsarukyan was also detained at his home.
It is noteworthy that a tripartite agreement was signed between Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that an agreement had been reached regarding the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Karabakh.
