The Most Optimal Way to Avoid Clashes is the Prime Minister's Resignation: Julfalakyan
Former MP of the 'My Step' faction Arsen Julfalakyan has made a post on his Facebook page titled 'What Should Be Done Right Now in the Current Extremely Difficult Situation'. Julfalakyan stated that the legal route is as follows: the Prime Minister voluntarily resigns, acknowledging his share of the blame, the ruling political team selects an interim Prime Minister from its ranks and appoints snap elections as soon as possible.
Julfalakyan specifically said: 'What should be done right now in the current extremely difficult situation? It is a question that concerns everyone (more or less...). I am confident that the super task right now is to avoid a civil war (which I believe is a significant threat). But how to do this when there is a considerable accumulated dissatisfaction (justified dissatisfaction)?'
He continued: 'Try to solve the question legally. Regardless of whether it was your desire or not, consciously or unconsciously... when someone is entrusted with leadership, they bear all the responsibility that follows from it. A trivial example to make it understandable to a wide audience, including those who do not understand 'politics' and consider themselves apolitical. When a head coach is appointed who has all the necessary powers (with that person's own agreement...), and after some time, their team unexpectedly suffers a heavy defeat, the coach cannot come up with different reasons to justify that defeat (it was the players' fault—they played poorly, the federation was at fault—they didn’t provide enough money, the referee made wrong judgments, etc.). You also cannot, for example, send the entire team home and form a new one. In such cases, the coach usually apologizes, admits their mistakes, and departs.'
'And what legal option is there at this moment? The Prime Minister (who was also the Supreme Commander during the days of the war...) voluntarily resigns, accepting his share of the blame. The ruling political team selects an interim Prime Minister from its ranks and appoints snap elections as soon as possible. I believe this option would be the most optimal to avoid further escalations and clashes, as well as to have a government corresponding to the new reality that has emerged. It is already clear that a lot has changed, and simply closing one’s eyes to accept all this is considered reckless. By the way, what I wrote is not intended to encourage 'honorable' fakes at all, but is directed at real people, especially those who have the authority/responsibility to make decisions officially. I hope my suggestion will be taken into consideration and at least seriously discussed by the relevant circles. The moment is indeed very important, decisive.'
