Islamist Terrorism is a Global Threat: Macron
French President Emmanuel Macron has highlighted the danger posed by Islamist terrorism to the international community in light of recent attacks on civilians in Mozambique. Reports indicate that around 50 people have died following the assaults carried out by militants affiliated with the "Islamic State" in recent days.
“In Mozambique, more than 50 people have been beheaded, women have been kidnapped, villages looted, and then set on fire. Barbarians are using the religion of peace to sow terrorism. Islamist terrorism is a global threat that demands a global response,” Macron wrote on Twitter.
