A Very Bad Document Is Presented Before the Armenian People, the Armenian Government Must Bear Responsibility

The former Minister of Defense of Armenia and Artsakh, hero of Artsakh, Lieutenant General Seyran Ohanyan stated in an interview with 168.am that a rather complex geopolitical situation has developed around Armenia and Artsakh. He added that the leadership of the Armed Forces deemed it appropriate to halt the war at that moment.

“But the fact that all this speaks to the reality that it is not the army that has failed, but the state, and that a very bad document has been put before the Armenian people is unequivocal, and the current government of Armenia must bear the responsibility for it. The extent of that responsibility should be determined by the people,” he stated.

When asked what alternatives he sees, whether anything can be changed, Seyran Ohanyan pointed out, “In any situation, organized government activity is the only way to emerge from a difficult situation.”

Referring to the rally organized by 17 political forces at Liberty Square, the former minister said, “The people demand an explanation, and the current authorities must provide that explanation to the people, especially since we are also a parliamentary country, and the National Assembly (NA) must give this explanation to the public.”
