Results of the trilateral statement on Karabakh illustrated on a map. The analysis and mapping perspective has been conducted by Sputnik Armenia.

The map clearly indicates that the areas marked in green will now fall under the control of the Azerbaijani armed forces. The regions highlighted in yellow with red markings are where the Russian peacekeepers will be stationed, while the yellow areas with blue markings represent the territories that will be under Azerbaijani control. This is, of course, the cartography presented by the media, and official markings have not yet been established.

It is important to note that the official text of the statement by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the President of the Russian Federation was previously published.

The statement published on the official Kremlin website states:

“We, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N. V. Pashinyan, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan I. H. Aliyev, and President of the Russian Federation V. V. Putin, declare the following: As of 00:00 Moscow time on November 10, 2020, a complete ceasefire and cessation of all hostilities is declared in the conflict zone of Nagorno-Karabakh. The Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia will hereafter be referred to as the parties, and they will stop at their occupied positions.”

The Agdam region will be returned to the Republic of Azerbaijan by November 20, 2020. A peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation will be stationed along the contact line of Nagorno-Karabakh and the Lachin corridor, comprising 1960 servicemen with firearms, 90 armored vehicles, 380 vehicles, and specialized equipment. The Russian peacekeeping forces will be deployed simultaneously with the withdrawal of Armenian armed forces. The Russian peacekeeping forces will be stationed for a duration of 5 years, which will automatically extend for another 5 years unless either party announces its intention to terminate this provision 6 months before the expiration of the deadline.

To enhance the effectiveness of ensuring the agreements by the conflicting parties, a peacekeeping center will be established to monitor the ceasefire regime. The Republic of Armenia will return the Kelbajar region to the Republic of Azerbaijan by November 15, 2020, and the Lachin region by December 1, 2020. The Lachin corridor (5 km wide), which will ensure a connection between Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia without affecting the city of Shushi, remains under the control of the Russian peacekeeping forces.

By mutual agreement of the parties, a new route along the Lachin corridor will be determined within the next three years, which will ensure connectivity between Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia; subsequently, the Russian peacekeeping forces will be deployed there to protect that route.

The Republic of Azerbaijan guarantees the safety of citizens, transport, and freight traffic in both directions along the Lachin corridor. Internally displaced persons and refugees will return to the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh and adjacent regions under the supervision of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. An exchange of prisoners of war, hostages, and other detained individuals, as well as the bodies of the deceased, will take place. All economic and transport communications in the region will be unblocked.

The Republic of Armenia guarantees the safety of transport communications between the western regions of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, organizing the unobstructed movement of citizens, transport vehicles, and goods in both directions. The control of transport communications will be carried out by the Russian Federal Security Service's Border Guard. By mutual agreement, new transportation communication will be ensured, connecting the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic with the western regions of Azerbaijan.
