Putin and Erdogan Emphasize the Importance of the Ceasefire Agreement in Nagorno-Karabakh
The Presidents of the Russian Federation and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, discussed by phone, at the initiative of the Turkish side, the adoption of a statement regarding the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh.
“Erdogan highly valued Russia's mediating efforts, which create a good basis for a long-term and comprehensive resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The achievement of a complete ceasefire agreement was emphasized, which allowed for the cessation of bloodshed. An agreement has been reached on the implementation of comprehensive measures outlined in the statement regarding the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh in the context of further close cooperation,” the statement reads.
