Five Planes Carrying Russian Peacekeepers Have Flown to the Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh
The first four Il-76 planes carrying Russian peacekeepers have departed from Ulyanovsk to Nagorno-Karabakh. This was reported on Tuesday by the Russian Ministry of Defense, as cited by TASS.
"The first four Il-76 aircraft, transporting Russian peacekeepers to the mission area in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, took off from the Ulyanovsk-Vostochny airport. The aircraft carry personnel from the peacekeeping unit, vehicles, armored vehicles, and material supplies," the statement said.
Later on, information emerged regarding the departure of a fifth plane.
The Ministry of Defense recalled that a total of 1,960 servicemen, 90 armored vehicles, 380 units of automobiles, and special equipment will be transported to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone for the deployment of the peacekeeping contingent.
