The Stronghold of International Terrorism in Syria Has Been Destroyed, Says Vladimir Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a remote conversation today with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, as reported by TASS. Putin stated that the stronghold of international terrorism in Syria has been effectively destroyed.

He noted that more than 6.5 million refugees remain outside of Syria, who could participate in the country's reconstruction. The Russian President also discussed providing opportunities for refugees to return to Syria en masse.
