We Will Not Tolerate the Presence of Terrorists Near Our Borders: Iranian MP
The issue of border security is considered a "red line" for Iran. According to Armenpress, this was stated by MP Zabihollah Azamai Sardoui.
Commenting on the videos published regarding terrorist groups deployed in the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict zone, the Iranian parliamentarian emphasized, "Iran will never tolerate the presence of terrorist groups at its borders. The deployment of terrorists in the Caucasus does not serve the interests of any country."
On November 3, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, in a televised speech, also deemed the presence of terrorists near Iran's borders unacceptable, highlighting the existence of credible videos regarding terrorists moved to Azerbaijan with Turkey's support, adding that if threatened, these terrorists will face severe retaliation.
The official Baku, lacking any justification in response to Iran's periodic concerns about destabilizing the region, through Azerbaijani MP Bahruz Mageramov, accused Iran's spiritual leader of effectively facilitating the transit of terrorists.
