French MPs Urge Macron to Recognize Artsakh's Independence

Thirty-nine members of the French National Assembly have appealed to President Emmanuel Macron, urging him not to maintain neutrality regarding the issue of Artsakh and to recognize its independence.

As reported by Armenpress, French MP Guy Tessier shared this news on his Twitter account. The lawmakers emphasized in their address to the President that only international recognition, similar to the case of Kosovo, would allow Artsakh to emerge from a zone that prevents it from receiving international humanitarian assistance.

It is noteworthy that on September 27, Azerbaijani armed forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting civilians as well. The Azerbaijani military also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in both Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of two civilians in Gegharkunik, and fifty civilians in Artsakh, with an additional 148 civilians injured.

Journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured due to the Azerbaijani shelling. A state of war has been declared in Armenia and Artsakh as of September 27. Humanitarian ceasefires have been announced three times, yet the Azerbaijani military has violated these ceasefires.
