Azerbaijan Realized Its Armed Forces Cannot Resolve the Karabakh Issue, Prime Minister Says
In July 2020, provocations occurred along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. As a result of these provocations, Azerbaijan realized that its armed forces were incapable of resolving the Karabakh issue. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in an interview with the German publication Tagesschau.
“This is precisely why they were forced to resort to mercenaries and terrorists. Subsequently, what they referred to as exercises in August was actually the process of transporting mercenaries and terrorists from Syrian territories. Those individuals were transferred to Azerbaijan,” the Prime Minister noted.
Pashinyan added that numerous Turkish military equipment was deployed in Azerbaijan. Turkish military specialists were also sent to Azerbaijan. They jointly launched an attack on Nagorno-Karabakh.
