Putin Discusses Situation Around Nagorno-Karabakh Conflict with Permanent Members of Russia's Security Council

Russia's President Vladimir Putin has discussed the situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone with the permanent members of the country's Security Council, as well as the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in Russian regions.

According to Armenpress, citing TASS, the operational meeting was announced by the president's press secretary Dmitry Peskov on November 6.

“Continued exchange of views took place regarding the situation around Karabakh and efforts for its resolution,” Peskov stated.

Peskov also noted that the discussion included issues related to combating the coronavirus pandemic in Russian regions and other current socio-economic matters within the country.

Participants in the meeting included Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, speakers of both chambers of parliament Valentina Matviyenko and Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, head of the Kremlin administration Anton Vaino, Security Council Secretary Nikolai Patrushev, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, head of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin, as well as the Russian president's special representative for environmental and transport issues Sergey Ivanov.
