Prime Minister Meets with the Ambassador of Italy to Armenia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan today received Vincenzo del Monaco, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Italy to Armenia, who is concluding his diplomatic mission in our country.
The Prime Minister highly appreciated the ambassador's tenure in Armenia, during which effective development of bilateral relations has been recorded. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the importance of the official visit to Italy in 2019 and thanked the ambassador for his personal contribution to advancing the Armenian-Italian agenda.
The Italian ambassador expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for the acknowledgment and noted that he has made every possible effort to elevate the level of Armenian-Italian cooperation.
The two interlocutors acknowledged that Armenia and Italy have significant potential for cooperation, and emphasized the importance of ongoing steps toward fully realizing that potential.
During the meeting, views were exchanged regarding the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh. Vincenzo del Monaco expressed condolences for the casualties among servicemen and civilians due to military actions, and noted that he departs Armenia with sadness during this difficult time, reaffirming solidarity and friendship.
Prime Minister Pashinyan remarked that the Armenian people are unified and determined to overcome this difficult situation and achieve a political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict with the support of progressive international partners.
Nikol Pashinyan wished Vincenzo del Monaco success in his future endeavors.
