Another Proof That Nothing Can Dampen the Spirit of a Patriotic Armenian: Gnel Sanosyan

The Governor of Gegharkunik Province, Gnel Sanosyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Another proof that nothing can dampen the spirit of a patriotic Armenian. These days, many soldiers and volunteers from the Gegharkunik region are participating in the Artsakh war, standing out with their brave deeds and fighting spirit.

We all remember our compatriot Gevorg, who, with his hand hidden in his pocket, approached the military commissariat and volunteered to go to the front line. This time, 48-year-old Martik Gevorgyan, a resident of the Lchashen community in Gegharkunik, has also distinguished himself with his immense patriotism and selfless dedication by volunteering to head to the front line despite having four stents in his heart.

After sustaining shrapnel wounds, he received appropriate treatment and is now continuing his recovery at home. Notably, he made the decision to volunteer, disregarding his own health condition. Even with serious health issues, he wishes to leave for the frontline as soon as possible to stand beside his fellow soldiers.

I am confident that the Armenian nation has many such patriots, many of whom we have yet to recognize. Wishing a speedy recovery to our contemporary patriot, and safe and victorious return to our brave Armenian sons fighting at the front.”
