Let's place our hopes on ourselves, on our soldiers, on our defenders, otherwise we will lose everything: Beglaryan

The Human Rights Defender of Artsakh, Artak Beglaryan, has come to the conclusion during his communications with international organizations and bodies that despite many expressing sorrow over the events and losses occurring in Artsakh, no actions are being taken.

As reported by Armenpress, Beglaryan stated this during a live broadcast on Facebook. “Yes, many understand us, yes, many feel sorrow for our losses and our suffering, but this is simply on a human level. When it comes to making decisions or taking actions, human feelings or human rights are not significant for them. What is significant are political, economic, or perhaps other interests, but not values, not human rights—personally, I have been convinced that these are not essential,” said Beglaryan.

He emphasized that everyone who has helped them until now deserves gratitude—whether personally, from various organizations, or from states. “Those who will help us in the future, we are also grateful to them, but that support has not been enough to stop the crimes and punish the perpetrators,” he added.

According to him, this conclusion should be kept in mind by everyone, as citizens frequently ask him about what the international community thinks and whether they do not wish to come and help. “I sincerely tell everyone that let’s place our hopes on ourselves, on our soldiers, on our defenders, otherwise we will lose everything,” Beglaryan emphasized.
