By Forming An Alliance With A Dictator, You Clarified Whose Side You Are On: Sarik Andreasian to Zelensky
Russian-Armenian filmmaker Sarik Andreasian has written an open letter in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on his Instagram page, stating that this is his last letter.
“Volodymyr, I want to thank you for replying to my letter. I will respond to you in Russian. I trust Armenian sources because when the war started, and we raised our voices that we were attacked, Aliyev denied this fact, and then at some point admitted that it was indeed the case. Later, we said that we were fighting against mercenaries from Syria and the Turkish army, and Aliyev also denied that until we started destroying Turkish drones and military equipment. Thousands of houses have been destroyed, hospitals and churches have been damaged. This is a fact that the world is only concerned about and nothing more.
You are right that many countries have sold weapons to Aliyev, but now it's Ukrainian, Israeli, and Belarusian cargo planes heading to Baku, and I can assume they are not delivering lard, potatoes, or hummus.
After everything I listed, I can only trust and believe the Armenian side, as besides official sources, I have friends in Stepanakert who help the wounded, the elderly, and children. I belong to no party in Russia or Armenia. I have never campaigned for either the government or the opposition in Russia,” he emphasized, clarifying that the Armenian nation fights not for any president or leader but to protect its own home, children, culture, and faith.
“By forming an alliance with a dictator and awarding him the Yaroslav the Wise medal, you made it clear whose side you are on, although I am sure Ukrainians do not share this opinion,” he wrote.
