A Resolution Related to the Artsakh Conflict Adopted in the Slovak Parliament

Hamazasp Danielyan, a member of the "My Step" faction in the National Assembly, has informed that a resolution concerning the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was adopted in the Parliament of the Slovak Republic with 110 votes in favor and 2 abstentions.

"The resolution essentially reaffirms the positions of the co-chairs of the Minsk Group, stating that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict does not have a military solution. It calls for a ceasefire and reiterates the three fundamental principles for conflict resolution: the right to self-determination of peoples, territorial integrity, and the principle of non-use of force and threat thereof.

Thanks to the efforts of both Armenian diplomats and the Armenian community and friends of Armenia living in Slovakia during the preparation of the resolution, it was possible to neutralize the reflection of Azerbaijan's unconstructive and disproportionate approaches in this document. As the head of the Armenia-Slovakia friendship group, I appreciate the consistency of my Slovak colleagues regarding the conflict and their continued attention to it," Danielyan wrote.
