We Condemn Recent Terrorist Acts, Particularly in France and Austria: Artsakh Foreign Ministry
The Foreign Ministry of Artsakh has issued a statement condemning recent terrorist acts in France and Austria.
“We unequivocally condemn the recent terrorist acts, particularly those in France and Austria, which resulted in innocent victims. I express my condolences to the victims of these monstrous acts of violence and convey our solidarity to the people of France and Austria. Terrorist methods in all their forms and manifestations threaten the entire international community and have no justification,” stated Artsakh’s Foreign Minister Masis Mayilian.
The Republic of Artsakh, which has long faced Azerbaijani state terrorism, is currently at the forefront of the fight against international terrorism, which Turkey and Azerbaijan use as tools for their geopolitical ambitions and military objectives. Today, facing an existential threat, the Republic of Artsakh defends not only its right to freedom and dignified life but also the common values of the civilized world.
Countering terrorism is a collective fight and responsibility of the entire international community. It is impossible to achieve a definitive victory over this global evil if that victory is not unified and indivisible for all. That is why the President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, called on the civilized world on October 6, 2020, to actively participate in the fight against terrorism and to create an effective and operational international anti-terrorist coalition.
I am confident that necessary measures must be implemented to prevent, disrupt, and eradicate all forms of terrorism, including those in which states are directly or indirectly involved. In this regard, international cooperation must become one of the key elements of the system of measures aimed at maintaining international peace and security,” the statement concludes.
