Recall that on September 27, the Azerbaijani armed forces began a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting also the civilian population. The Azerbaijani armed forces have also targeted military and civilian infrastructure in Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of 2 civilians in Gegharkunik and 45 civilians in Artsakh, with 141 civilians injured.

As a result of the Azerbaijani shelling, journalists from both foreign and local media have been injured. A state of war was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27. Humanitarian ceasefires have been announced three times, yet the Azerbaijani armed forces have violated these ceasefires.
