I Don't Think We Have a Situation That Requires a Lockdown, Says Deputy Prime Minister on COVID-19

The Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Mher Grigoryan, addressing the situation of coronavirus in the National Assembly, stated that he does not believe there is a situation that requires a lockdown.

“If we summarize the past experience, not only in Armenia, at this point, I think we will not have such an agenda,” the Deputy Prime Minister said, urging to maintain all preventive measures, as this is the most effective solution to overcome the current situation.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the 24 measures aimed at neutralizing the economic consequences of the coronavirus have played a significant role, and the situation has recovered.

As of November 2, at 11:00 AM, a total of 93,448 cases of coronavirus disease have been confirmed in the country, of which 56,466 have recovered, and 1,391 have resulted in death. Currently, there are 35,215 patients undergoing treatment for the coronavirus. In total, 410,524 tests have been conducted. On the previous day, 2,544 tests were carried out, resulting in 1,194 new confirmed cases of the virus. We have 639 recoveries and 28 deaths.
