Today Marks the Installation Day of Artsakh's Symbol "Dedo-Babo" Monument

November 1 is the installation day of Artsakh's symbol "We Are Our Mountains" monument. It symbolizes the strong connection between the land of Artsakh and its people's roots.

The monument, affectionately known as "Dedo-Babo" or "Grandfather-Grandmother", was installed in 1967. The sculptor of the monument is Sarkis Baghdasarov and the architect is Yuri Hakobyan. The statue, made of red tuff, is located on a hilltop near the entrance of Stepanakert.
