Modern Heroes: The Boys Destroyed Two Enemy Tanks and Captured One Armored Vehicle, Participants Nominated for 'For Bravery' Medals

Modern heroes Colonel Ararat Vladimir Balayan has been nominated for the 'For Bravery' medal for organizing the precise and systematic work of air defense units under combat conditions and contributing to the destruction of enemy air forces.

Lieutenant Colonel Vahram Mikayeli Baghdasaryan will be awarded the 'For Bravery' medal for demonstrating personal courage and bravery in military operations against the adversary and while defending state borders.

A characteristic episode of our modern heroic struggle has unfolded in the northern border zone. By capturing one of the important heights in groups, the boys destroyed two enemy tanks and seized one armored vehicle, which contained a large quantity of night vision devices. Senior Corporal Hovik Armeni Hayrapetyan personally drove the captured armored vehicle to the command of the battalion.

Tank number one was destroyed by A. Sevoomyan and S. Sahakyan, while the other was destroyed by S. Sargsyan and H. Hayrapetyan. For the successful execution of the operation, Captain Hovhannes Grigor Mirzoyan, Senior Corporal Hovik Armeni Hayrapetyan, contracted privates Ruben Ashotik Verdyan, Andranik Hmayaki Vanyan, Eduard Armeni Barseghyan, Arman Seyrani Sevoomyan, Arthur Armeni Asriyan, Harut Ararati Hamzoyan, Khoren Sureni Avanesyan, Sasun Khoreni Sahakyan, contracted Staff Sergeant Marat Valeri Akhoyan, Seyran Gagiki Abrahamyan, Junior Contract Sergeants Manvel Rashidi Gevorgyan, Harut Arthuri Emiryane, contracted Sergeants Vaghinar Vladimiri Sahakyan, Spartak Ashoti Sargsyan, and Reserve Major Sergey Valeri Tsatranyan have been nominated for 'For Bravery' medals.
