«The Motherland Highly Values the Selfless Service and Professional Work of Its Children»: Artsakh President to Emergency Situations Employees

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, addressed the Day of the Emergency Situations State Service employee on October 30, sending the following message:

“Dear compatriots,

Today marks the Day of the Emergency Situations State Service employee of the Republic of Artsakh. In this regard, I have signed decrees to award a number of dedicated service members with state honors and to confer ranks within the rescue service. Moreover, the Director of the Emergency Situations State Service, Colonel Karen Grigori Sargsyan, has been awarded the rank of Major General of the Rescue Service.

The Motherland highly values the selfless service and professional work of its devoted children. This has been the case and will continue to be so in the future.

At this critical time for our people, when the fate and future of the entire Armenian nation are being decided in Artsakh, the service employees continue to carry out their duties at a high level and fulfill their sacred duty to the homeland. Unfortunately, during this period, Emergency Situations employees Hovik Aghajanyan and Harut Atajanyan lost their lives while fulfilling their work obligations. Their memory is eternal in the hearts of the living.

There are also wounded among the staff of the structure, and I wish them a swift recovery.

Dear friends, my greatest wish and hope is that from now on, you will carry out your service obligations in the direction of protecting the population during emergencies only in peaceful and safe conditions.
