The First Women's Battalion is Undergoing Training: Artak Hovhannisyan

The first women’s battalion is undergoing training. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Armenian Ministry of Defense, Artak Hovhannisyan.

It should be recalled that on September 27, Azerbaijani forces launched a large-scale attack in Artsakh, targeting also the civilian population. The Azerbaijani armed forces have aimed at military and civilian infrastructure in both Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia, resulting in the deaths of two civilians in Gegharkunik, while 40 civilians have been killed and 120 injured in Artsakh.

Due to the Azerbaijani shelling, journalists from both foreign and local media have been wounded. A state of martial law was declared in Armenia and Artsakh on September 27. Humanitarian ceasefires have been announced three times already, but the Azerbaijani armed forces have violated them.
